When I'm not helping a client reach the closing table, you'll likely find me with a book in hand or exploring somewhere new with my husband. Traveling has become our way of unwinding, a chance to breath, reflect, and recharge after weeks spent guiding people through some of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. Those quite moments away remind me exactly why I love what I do, helping others create a place they call home.
I grew up in New York City with one sibling, raised by my mother on her own. Watching her build a stable home for us, on her own terms, taught me early what owning a home really means to a family, security, roots, a place that's truly yours. From a young age I also learned a simple truth. If you want something, you work for it, fully. Wholeheartedly. No shortcuts. That mindset shaped everthing about who I am today.
Before entering the mortgage world, I built my career in insurance, where I reached Executive Council in my first year, an achievement I honestly didn't see coming. But the real turning point came when a real estate client looked at me and said. "Yvette, you'd make an incredible Mortgage Loan Officer." she saw something in me before I'd fully seen it in myself, a natural gift for explaning, teaching, and helping people feel genuinely confident in decisions that can change their lives.
So, I took the leap, and it felt like like stepping into exactly the place I was always meant to be.
