Owen is a social innovator. A physiotherapist since 1981 and worker for national rural health improvements across Australia, he has trained in leadership with the world's foremost leadership trainers.

 

Owen now works in three socially innovative projects:

 

1. Owen's Online Physiotherapy Service (OOPS) has been designed to provide access to people worldwide who might otherwise be disadvantaged by lack of local services, to a self management algorithm for mild to moderate pain and injury. Owen's experience shows that many people can achieve good results in movement dysfunction, injuries and musculoskeletal pain through guided self management. Owen's direct online consultancy is a fee for service that uses the zoom platform to perform an interview and visual assessment of the dysfunction you are experiencing and provide a custom-designed therapeutic movement recovery, and self-management plan.

 

2. Conversations in Leadership was designed from Owen's training through the Erhard-Jensen Initiative of the USA and his experience in national rural health and other community organisations. You can book one free introductory conversation with Owen.  A 20 week fee for service program is then also available.  

 

3. Owen is current chair of the Umoja Community foundation, a community based organisation in the Nakivale Refugee Camps of Uganda, working on eco-agriculture development, leadership, entrepreneurship, and mental health courses.

Owen has previously designed of an inclusive community contemporary dance theatre training and design program, well-received in demonstration at the 2019 International Conference for Movement and Cognition, Tel Aviv for it's movement learning capabilities. He has also been associated with inclusive theatre.
