I'm a Certified Guided Autobiography Facilitator as part of the Birren Center for Autobiographical Studies. I received a B.A. in English, a Masters in Education and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Southern California. I enjoyed teaching junior high English/Reading through university levels for 20 years in Los Angeles and another 20 years teaching critical thinking at Fullerton College. With the help of my husband, I earned the title "Mom" to four children, one of whom has expanded our family to include 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren (on last count.)
Now Professor Emeritus, I have published 14 books, the most recent of which is Redesigning My Resilient Life: A Guided Journal for the Pandemic, Social Unrest, Political Turmoil. Visit my author page on Amazon at http://amazon.com/author/florabrown to learn about the rest of my books. In my life story workshops, I share my love of stories and belief in their power to enrich lives through writing, sharing, and preserving life stories and life experiences.
