You can see all the different subjects I deliver training in on the main courses page

I sometimes design courses for combinations of subjects or special subjects too, so do ask if there's something in particular you have in mind.
Training courses are for between 6 and 25 people. If you would like Iain to deliver to more than 25 people please get in touch to discuss your particular needs.

Courses are run for one organisation - open courses where individuals can attend will be arranged according to demand.
I always tailor my courses to make sure they fit your needs exactly. Even if you order an 'off the peg' course like Time Management I will tailor it in two ways:

1) I will ask you what elements of the subject you want me to cover e.g. prioritisation, delegation, stress, being assertive etc, and to what extent you want each subject covered.

2) During the course itself I will further adapt the content according to the participants' needs. What delegates need from a course sometimes become more specific and clear, during a training event so I adapt on the day.
Most full day courses start at either 9.00 or 9.30 and finish at either 4 or 4.30. We'll pause for lunch around 12.30 or 1pm and participants will need to break for a tea or coffee midway through the morning and afternoon sessions.

Half day courses run for around 3.5 hours and typical timings are 9.30 to 1pm, 12.30pm to 4pm or 4pm to 7.30pm. Participants benefit from a tea break half way through.

Two hour sessions can be run at any time during the day and are ideal for when you don't have a full or half day available. They are perfect for twilight staff meetings, or for running the same event more than once in a day. We don't break for tea or coffee in a two-hour session.
I'm based in the South East and so a large part of the UK is within easy reach. I actually enjoy travelling across the country so don't think that you're too far away - I drive, take the train or fly to deliver training, depending on which is the most appropriate and suitable option.

To ensure that I never (ever) miss a booked training event I stay overnight, close to the venue, if your organisation is more than one hour away.

There are no expenses at all for organisations in London and the South East. Even when you're further afield I endeavour to keep costs down.

Travel
Most of the time I drive to the training venue and use Google Maps to calculate the distance. Mileage is charged at the HMRC set rate of 45p per mile.
Sometimes it makes more sense to take the train. Booking me early for your event means I can book my train early and find a great value fare, saving you money.
(Don't overlook flights either; if you're further afield a flight can be much better value than catching a train or taking the car. For example round trips from Gatwick to Edinburgh or from Heathrow to Manchester, for example, are often around £150 or even less.)

Accommodation
I choose modest, functional accommodation without any frills. I usually book a B&B, Travelodge, Premier Inn or similar.
I'd love to. I tailor all of my talks to each particular audience. Please call or drop me a line to discuss what you're looking for. Depending on the event, your audience and the time we have available, you might want me to deliver a talk, a workshop or something in between. Whatever it is, I'll make it fun!
Most of my clients have a room on site that we use for training, and this is the best value option. Some clients like to hold training off-site to avoid interruptions during the course, or to improve the feel of the course, and they often have a local hotel or golf club that they know and like.

I run open courses ie courses that individuals can book a place on in London, York and Redhill. Find out more here.

I can pencil in courses if you want me to hold a particular date for you. Once a course is in our diary I won’t sell the date to anyone else, whatever the circumstances, without consulting you first. You can confirm the date by phone, e-mail or my online booking system. If you cancel or postpone a confirmed course with less than four weeks to go then I will make a charge of 50% of the course fee, or, if the course is cancelled with less than 14 days to go, 100% of the fee.
After I have delivered the training I will send you an invoice. You pay the invoice either by cheque or BACS.

Or you can pay for training online. This is what most repeat clients do as they already have confidence in my training and know what they're getting.
The price of each training event before travel and accommodation is indicated on the online booking form. You may have other requirements that impact on the stated price for example number of participants, a specifically tailored course or other special requirements. To discuss possible solutions and their costs please email me on with your requirements, or call me on 07515 985935.

Schools, Colleges and Charities qualify for a 35% discount the list price for all training services.

I offer discounts for multiple purchases e.g. when you book more than one course. Please contact me for further details.
