I Am Jen Wilson The Healing Rebel, guiding women who are frustrated and overwhelmed, and ready to prioritise their health and make changes now.
You're a first-born daughter, a born leader living in Glasgow on the fast train to burnout. You've been the strong one for everyone else. The fixer. The caretaker. The one who never stops.
You're possibly living with chronic pain, or inflammation, gut issues, or autoimmune conditions, navigating perimenopause, or neurodivergent - and you can see the crash coming. You're on the brink of complete burnout.
As a result, you're constantly on edge. Tired but wired. Your mind won't shut off and your body physically can't relax.
You want space to breathe. To feel at peace. To actually experience what calm feels like.
It's time to prioritise yourself.

Your Body Already Knows How to Heal. Sometimes It Just Needs a Little Help Getting There.
We live in a world that rewards pushing through. Keeping going. Staying busy. The result is a body and nervous system that have forgotten what it feels like to actually rest, let go, and restore.
Reiki is a hands-on complementary therapy that works with your body's own natural healing capacity. It is deeply relaxing, gently powerful, and completely non-invasive. You do not need to believe in anything for it to work. You just need to show up and allow yourself to receive.
What Is Reiki?
Reiki is a hands-on healing therapy that supports your body's ability to heal itself. During a session, gentle touch is applied around different areas of your body, encouraging your system to awaken its own healing process.
It works with energy. When energy flows freely through the body, we feel well. When it becomes blocked or stagnant, we experience stress, tension, pain, emotional difficulty, and disconnection. Reiki helps to clear those blocks and restore flow.
It is deeply relaxing. Many people drift off during a session. That level of rest is not a side effect. It is the point.
What Is Reiki Drumming?
Reiki Drumming blends traditional Reiki with shamanic-style drumming to deepen your relaxation and healing experience.
The drum is used intuitively alongside Reiki. The rhythmic sound of the drum works with your nervous system to help you drop into a deeper state of rest than Reiki alone. It creates a space where your body can truly let go.
It is not performance. It is not spiritual theatre. It is a powerful, grounded combination of two healing traditions that work beautifully together.

What to Expect During Your Session
Your session takes place in my private home studio in Springburn, Glasgow.
You will remain fully clothed throughout. All you need to do is lie down, get comfortable, and allow yourself to receive.
We will have a brief conversation at the start about what is going on for you. From there, I will work intuitively, applying gentle touch around different areas of your body.
During Reiki Drumming sessions, the drum is woven in alongside the Reiki. You do not need to do anything with the sound. Just let it work.
Afterwards, we will take a moment to check in. You are welcome to share your experience, or simply sit quietly for a few minutes before heading out.

Why Work With Me?
I have been supporting people with sensitive nervous systems, chronic conditions, and complex health histories since 2009. I hold a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science alongside my complementary therapy qualifications, and I bridge evidence-based and holistic approaches in everything I do.
I am also a highly sensitive person myself. I know what it is like to need gentle support. I know what it is like to struggle to receive it. My studio is a space where you do not need to perform wellness or explain yourself. You just need to arrive.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to believe in Reiki for it to work? No. Reiki works whether you are fully on board, completely sceptical, or somewhere in between. What helps most is simply being willing to lie down and rest.
What does Reiki feel like? People experience it differently. Some feel warmth or tingling. Some notice emotional releases. Some fall asleep. Some feel very little during the session and notice the shift afterwards. There is no wrong way to receive Reiki.
What is the difference between Reiki and Reiki Drumming? Reiki on its own uses gentle hands-on touch to support your body's natural healing. Reiki Drumming adds shamanic-style drumming alongside the Reiki, which can help you drop into a deeper state of rest and relaxation. Both are powerful. The drumming simply takes things a layer deeper.
Does drumming need to be included? Absolutely not, it’s your session, if you only want Reiki, then that’s what you can have. For some people, the drum can feel overstimulating, especially if you are sensitive to sound (although I can play it softly). Please do let me know, I am more than happy to adapt the session to suit you. If we use the drum in your session and for any reason you wish to stop, just let me know. I never want you to feel uncomfortable in session.
Is it safe during perimenopause or chronic illness? Yes. Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive therapy. It is particularly well suited to people managing hormonal changes, chronic fatigue, pain conditions, or anything that requires a careful, sensitive approach.
Are there any contraindications? Reiki itself has no known contraindications. However, there are contraindications for Reiki Drumming:
Because Reiki drumming involves rhythmic sound, vibration, and energy work, precautions focus on both sound sensitivity and physical, rhythmic, or auditory stimulation.
-
Epilepsy/Seizure Disorders: Rhythmic drumming can be a trigger.
-
Severe Mental Health Issues: Individuals with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or severe PTSD are not adivsed to experience Reiki drumming.
-
Medical Devices: pacemakers or hearing aids should avoid close, loud drumming.
-
Recent Surgery/Major Injuries: physical stimulation of sound vibrations may be inappropriate immediately after surgery, please check with your doctor.
-
Pregnancy: Particularly during the first trimester, intense sound therapy may not be advised, however there are doula’s who work with the drum during childbirth (I am not qualified for this, but can connect you with women who are).
-
Vertigo or Inner Ear Disorders: Sound vibrations can exacerbate vertigo.
How many sessions do I need? Some people experience a significant shift from one session. Others find that regular Reiki supports them through a longer period of difficulty or recovery. There is no fixed protocol. We work with what you need.
What should I wear? Comfortable, loose clothing is ideal. You remain fully clothed throughout the session.

This was my first treatment with Jen, and it certainly will not be my last. She has such a lovely style and pace that it did not take long before I was snoozing on the massage table, which is the greatest compliment!
She created a bespoke treatment that met my needs perfectly. Thank you!

The Reset
Loved Jen’s half-day retreat. We were taken through lymphatic drainage, hand and foot massage, guided meditation and a sound bath. Bliss.
Jen has a beautifully calm demeanour, and the whole experience was incredibly relaxing. She is so knowledgeable too, and I have come away with a far greater understanding of how important self-care is and how to bring a little more of it into my day

The Recalibration
I booked with Jen for an Access Bars Brain Reset. She immediately made me feel comfortable, explained exactly what would happen during the treatment and answered all of my questions.
I felt incredibly relaxed, and at one point I forgot Jen was still there because I was so chilled out! I would highly recommend Jen. She has such a calming vibe and genuinely wants to ensure you get the very best from your treatment.

Access Bars
I had a full-body massage from Jen and can honestly say it is the most relaxed I have ever felt. She has created such a calming environment, with the music, warmth and beautiful scents all adding to the experience. She instantly makes you feel at ease.
Jen is super knowledgeable, and I left feeling as though a weight had been lifted. The massage was the perfect pressure and I would not go anywhere else. Thanks, Jen.
