More about Jan

Jan is a Level 4 Qigong healer and has been a Level 2 Reiki healer since 1997. She was initiated to Medicine Buddha and Avalokiteshvara (Buddha of compassion) through the Kadampa Buddhist path, founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, in 2003. She's been a practicing yogi (practicing the ancient wisdom of yoga and meditation rather than the physical yoga poses) for almost 20 years. She is a devotee of Paramahansa Yogananda, who founded Self-Realization Fellowship.

A yogi and a strong proponent and student of Eastern wisdom, Jan also publishes Perfect Inner Peace online magazine to help you break free from the stressful ways of our culture and greatly improve your life through balance, peace, and wisdom.

She is an MBA and a "recovering corporate employee" who is finally pursuing her life's purpose.

A Bit About Qigong

The purpose of Qigong healing is to gently place your body and its organ systems and energy (meridian) systems back into balance and to remove energy blockages. It restores the free-flow of energy through all your body systems. Your body will then be well-prepared to heal itself.

Qigong will help you to improve physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual blockages of all types. It's not just a woo-woo healing modality. The Mayo Clinic and other hospitals and universities use Qigong regularly to help their patients heal.

Qigong originated in China and has been used successfully to help people heal for 7,000 years. Studies in the U.S. have just begun as a result of scientists witnessing great success with patients using Qigong.

The Mayo clinic's Integrative Cancer Center is currently studying the effects of Qigong and "Tai Chi Easy" on the fatigue experienced by breast cancer patients. This is in collaboration with Arizona State University and Dr. Roger Jahnke, OMD, through a $3 million grant.

The Mayo Clinic has completed successful studies to show Qigong's ability to reduce or eliminate pain, and to treat depression and bipolar disorder. The study results are available online. Ask me if you're interested.

“Hey there! Hope you had a great summer…wanted to fill you in on all the medical stuff after all the processes you did…well I had a CT scan, scoping, and a bladder and kidney flushing. The conclusion from the docs—couldn’t find anything visibly or functionally wrong other than my bladder spasms—I can’t thank you enough for everything, Jan!  It was amazing! No more pain either—blessing to you, friend.” Linda [note: Linda was having bladder and kidney problems, including kidney tumors.]

“The Qigong healing you performed was very effective. It helped strengthen calmness, confidence and focus. It also enhanced an experience of being content and situated. My research work greatly improved after my first session. I will be interested in more Qigong sessions.” [Vipin brought his wife for a session when he returned for his second session, and is planning for Jan to work with his mother in India for long distance healings.]

"The stiffness is gone!" [Robin walked back and forth across the room and was delighted.] “I was walking like this this morning [as he bent over and walked with pain showing on his face]. And now I have a full gate!”

Followup after he flew home: "After our session I have not had any major flare-ups, just stiffness and some very mild pain. I did not have any problems flying back home, just some stiffness handling bags. Upon my return home my doctor ordered some physical therapy which I have attended two sessions so far which seems to help. The long and the short of it is my back felt a whole lot better after our session! Thank You!" [Jan did one, 15-minute session during a conference Robin was attending with her husband. It was rushed because he was on break.]

Jan did a session for Aric's knee, which was about to stop him from running for his school track team. Eight months later, Aric's mother said, "Aric's knee is great since your healing and he had a phenomenal cross country season. He almost made the cut to go to State with the team. He has not worn his knee brace since last school year. We're running a half marathon together in January. Thank you!"

Aric C.

High School Student

Speaking for herself and her husband (she was having chronic pain and he had a serious case of shingles): "For me, I did not have much, if any, any pain today! I was so great being able to go about my day without feeling stiff and sore. For Don, his lower back pain has subsided quite a bit. His face had good color, too."

After a later healing: "My wrists and the balls of my feet do not hurt! Lower back feels stronger. Hamstrings are a bit tight, but overall I feel really good!" After another session: "My hamstrings and I appreciate it!! They are better."

Melissa Cantrell

Director, Program Management, ACT

[This was after a remote healing: Jan is in Calif and Robert is in Georgia]: “I could feel energy and almost like pulsations in my eye and back in particular but moving through my legs and out my feet as well. WOW!!"

Robert Marcinko

Sr Clinical Research Assoc, RN, BSN at Worldwide Clinical Trials

I can ride my bike again! My knee is so much better. The pain and stiffness are gone.

"Neck still good, in spite of the fact that I wrote letters using my phone this morning, which usually makes it hurt more. My knee feels great! Thank you so much!"

[Jan did a session for her great niece soon after she arrived in Spain with a terrible cold (which turned out to be mono).] “Thank you so much for doing a healing session for me! I am just about to go to bed but am finding myself feeling very tranquil and optimistic about tomorrow. I think I will wake up feeling brand new. Thanks again for thinking of me, I really appreciate it!" [Her mother explained later that Madison recovered much more quickly than the other students who had mono.]

Qigong is a Chinese energy healing modality that has been around for 7000 years. It is similar to acupuncture but without the needles. Both are based on clearing energy blockages from the meridian system. Whenever you have an energy blockage, that's when you experience pain,  illness, or mental or emotional discomfort.

You can experience Qigong in three different ways:

1. You can do Qigong movements that look like Tai Chi but are very different—each movement is based on healing certain organ systems and energy systems of the body by balancing your yin and yang energy and removing blockages.

2. You can have Qigong healing sessions, either face-to-face or remote, to heal specific issues. The issues can be physical (includes pain as well as all types of illnesses and organ issues), mental, emotional or spiritual.

3. Qigong also offers a series of healing techniques that focus on the body's energy points, located along the energy channels of your body. You massage specific points to affect physical issues with your body. These are also acupuncture points.

People say Qigong movements and healings relax them greatly. They love doing the movements, which keep your body in balance energetically. With Qigong, you are balancing the major yin and yang of your body as well as the yin and yang energy of each organ.
