Thank you for your interest in counselling. I am a qualified counsellor and experienced presenter. I have spent over fifteen years working and volunteering with community organisations and assisting with leadership training and development..
I offer counselling sessions to individual clients using Rational Emotional Behaviour Therapy, utilisation of Living Wisdom techniques, as well as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Narrative Therapy. I have been a presenter for Living Wisdom, running Seminars and the Living Wisdom Mini School over a period of 4 years.
I gained my Bachelor of Counselling through Bethlehem Tertiary Institute, a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences (Alcohol and Drug Studies) from Auckland University and Certificate of Addiction and Mental Health Supervision.
I have also undertaken training with David Riddell and was the local presenter of his Living Wisdom Schools here in the Bay of Plenty.
My experience has seen me work for several years as a Drug and Alcohol Counsellor and Mental Health Worker in Tauranga, as a Registered Clincal Alcohol and Drug Practitioner with DAPAANZ (Addiction Practitioners’ Association Aotearoa-New Zealand). I am also a full member and Supervisor for NZCCA (New Zealand Christian Counsellors Association), and a registered clinical supervisor for DAPAANZ.
After completing my studies I felt that I had made Tauranga my home, so decided to stay and enjoy the picturesque region and all it has to offer.
