MINDY NETTIFEE, MA is an artist educator, depth somatic practitioner, and vocational coach. Her doctoral research - publishing in 2020 - investigates the impact of trauma on the voice, and the role of voice in trauma healing and integration. She specializes in supporting those who want to heal, develop, and fully reclaim their voice, and in the process, their power to know and express themselves honestly, share their story and connect with others, and ultimately discover and enact their calling.

Mindy is a poet, storyteller, and PhD candidate in Depth Psychology with a specialization Somatic Studies. She has three published collections of poetry - Sleepyhead Assassins (Moon Tide), Rise of the Trust Fall (Write Bloody), and Open Your Mouth Like a Bell (Write Bloody), - as well as a how-to book on writing poems called Glitter in the Blood (Write Bloody). She also edited the Courage anthology, collection of poems for teenage girls. Her scholarly/research interests have been in creativity, healing, and the unconscious mind, as well as trauma healing processes and the voice specifically. She developed a transformative research method and somatic practice for accessing the intelligence of the body and psyche called Sensory Voicing. She is trained in Peter Levine's trauma healing modality Somatic Experiencing, as well as practices of dream work, voice work, Authentic Movement, somatic meditation, and sound healing. Mindy is also the co-founder of the creative and performance services company Free Delivery, which offers story and performance coaching for individuals and groups. She has more than 15 years experience teaching creative writing and performance, and currently teaches workshops for Literary Arts, and produces and hosts for radio and stage with Back Fence PDX and The Moth.
