Nicole cares!  She genuinely wants to see you succeed at this parenting thing, and she is so gracious in her advice and how she constructively listens.  She helped me gain the confidence I needed to get some of my own stuff in check and really make the effort to connect with my daughter.  Teeth-brushing time used to be a set-up for me losing it and yelling at my kids.  Now, we have fun and sing, and I am learning to be okay with them not being professional teeth-brushers.  Haha!  I'm choosing connection.  Nicole taught me so much!

I was a struggling grandparent ~ at a loss as to how to communicate with one of my granddaughters. All it took was 1 session with Nicole to help me see what changes I needed to make to right our strained relationship.  Things are now much better between us and I will forever be grateful to Nicole for knowing exactly what needed to change. Thank you so much, Nicole!

I can honestly say that discovering your work has completely changed my life and that of my family. I found you because I googled "how to stop yelling at my kids" and it was the best answer I could have found! You give a very clear and basic method to think our way through any challenge that our kids throw at us, so instead of having tips and tricks for a specific behaviour we want to change, then needing to start from scratch next time we want to address something, we can apply the basics to just about any situation and, over the years, this has resulted in a much calmer, happier family. Mostly I have learnt enough just from reading your blog posts and doing your communication course, but I'm so glad that we had a coaching session with you when we had very specific difficulties with our daughter who struggles wth sensory and emotional processing. Just chatting it through with you helped to clarify things and, even though we only spoke to you that once, you saw straight to the heart of the matter and gave really sage advice. I recommend you to anyone I know of who is struggling (and I now help moderate a large positive parenting facebook group, so that's a lot of parents - whatever the question, there's a blog post I can share to answer it!). I cannot tell you how grateful we are to you for everything we have learnt from you.

Finding Nicole was one of the luckiest strikes I've ever had as a parent. I trust her implicitly and recommend her regularly. She has the unique ability to diagnose the root issue and help you as the parent know what to do to address whatever disruption is happening in your home. Further, she never makes you feel guilty or like things are "your fault". She simply helps you understand what's really happening and what you can do to resolve it. She's wonderful and I'm so grateful she does the work that she does.

When I look back at my parenting journey someday, it will most definitely include the thoughtful guidance from Nicole.  When my oldest turned two and her baby sister was born, I reached out to Nicole for help.  I had been following her articles for some time, and finally decided to sign up for her parent coaching.  Through incredibly accommodating counseling sessions, I was able to navigate the waters of sibling introduction and rivalry successfully.  Nicole was there, with a patient voice, kind words of advice and a listening ear.  As a stay at home mom, with two under two, my social world was also shrinking.  I have often thought of Nicole as a friend over the years; a very wise, very patient, friend and teacher.  We recently introduced a third baby to the mix, which has been both wonderful and chaotic at the same time.  As if no time had passed, I was able to reconnect with Nicole to discuss these new challenges.  It's a testament to the connection she makes with her clients, that it felt so comforting starting parent coaching back up again.  Nicole is teaching me calm parenting tactics, how to work with my toddler's big feelings, and how to prioritize my own wellness through it all.  She is one email away, one phone call away, and I find myself looking forward to our sessions.  She is the most flexible therapist you will find.  There is no way I could seek help with my 3 little ones on such a regular basis, if she did not offer the video conferencing option.  I will be forever grateful to Nicole for how she has helped my family.

I came across Nicole's email list and really appreciated the practical tools with printables. As a single Dad I was in need of support and the printables really helped me remember to use the tools when needed. I reached out to her rather tentatively because I worried that maybe there was a mom-centric focus to her coaching and I therefore I would not benefit as much. After working with her I have to say I saw results in how I was showing up with my kids. She was fantastic at helping me connect with my own resources and I thought she was very committed to supporting me. Don't be shy Dads, this is a great investment in the future well-being of your kids. I am not a perfect parent but on my way to being more perfectly imperfect each and every day thanks to Nicole!

I have struggled with settling into my role as a parent for a long time. With that comes a lot of shame, guilt, and difficult emotions that I have to navigate while still trying to be the best parent I can be. Nicole held space for my difficult emotions while giving me very solid tips and information I could use to better understand and improve my situation. I have benefitted so much from the sessions and my relationship with my children improved considerably by using the tips she suggested.

Even though I have lots of parent friends, there seems to be a tendency to just joke about our parenting struggles but not to have real heart-to-heart conversations about the struggles.  Nicole provided that and so much more.  She shared many tricks and tips "of the trade."  But what I needed most, and she could provide, was a sounding board and a firm support to lean on, always reassuring me that I was on the right track with this whole parenting-thing.  I highly recommend her services if you are in need of some support.

By booking time with Nicole, my husband and I are able to have protected time to hear each other's struggles and ideas about how to keep adapting our parenting to our children's needs while paying attention to our need for self-care. Nicole role models good approaches to use, like listening and encouraging us when we are on the right track by reinforcing the positives we can build on. She always quickly provides a concise summary of key things to keep in mind after the session.

Nicole was a wonderful source of support to me when I was going through some of my toughest times with my son. She was always very understanding and non-judgmental, giving me little tidbits of advice at a time so I could process them at my own pace.

I would like to share my experience with Nicole Schwarz. Nicole helped me so much to locate those areas of my relationship with my adolescent daughter that needed more attention and care. She guided me to look for more understanding and respect for my daughter. Though I come from a different culture (I am  Greek) where some issues are seen through a more conservative way in the upbringing of children, especially girls, I managed through Nicole's questions to realize how my thought and reactions matter. After the completion of my sessions, I might at a later stage book more sessions. What I liked most is Nicole's motto: We are not looking for the perfect relation between parents and children. We are looking for a functional relationship and to do our best for better communication. It is also important as we try to fix our relationship with our kids to be frank without ego and ready to do what it takes to have a truly relation of love and respect with our kids.
