What would happen if you gave up looking for other people's answers and started looking at your questions instead? What are you here for? What's holding you back? How can you turn your life around? What does your happiness look like?
I’m def not an organizing guru ( that would be clear as day if you saw my desk). I’m more of a THROW AWAY the emotional baggage and ugly jumpers that do nothing for you ( except keep you warm and scare strangers) type of guru.
Let's get systems in place, and make the difficult less complicated. That's what I'm known for; I bring clarity to the game.
SHOULD YOU WORK WITH ME?
-Do you lack direction?
-Are you procrastinating?
-Do you feel like there are too many choices?
-Do you want more clarity?
HERE ARE SOME RANDOM RAMBLES ABOUT ME
My vacation goes something like this; Chilling by the pool sucking on my Frozen Margarita. 20 minutes into working on my brain freeze ….. OMG, that kid is drowning, Jumps in the pool (true story). I like solving problems more than I like creating them. I’m a drama-free zone! I’m also not going to wait for the lifeguard to wake up from his nap! I’m not telling this life-saving story to get the medal I clearly deserve, but to illustrate how I go about life. I chill when I can and I take action when it’s required!
Happiness is the ocean, feelings are the waves. Accepting your feelings doesn’t mean you let them rule your world, make your decisions. Easier said than done right!? But it’s possible. You need methods and a lot of practice to carry out what you were meant to do – without turning jaded. If your life is perfect, but you’re an unhappy bitch (mean girl, bitter dude, crazy road rager, etc.), you’re doing it wrong!
I’ve had a few margaritas, pools and shoe shopping. It’s great fun, except for the lounging by the pool for longer than 23 minutes. I don’t get it. Apart from pulling drowning kids and drunks from the bottom of the basin, pool lounging always bores the hell out of me. I’d rather buy some more shoes, or even better, climb remote mountain tops to meet Buddhist Lamas. Well, not always mountain tops, I just added that for some extra drama.
I got into Buddhism early on. It came naturally to me. The freedom, the logic, the methods. Most people think Buddhism is about renouncing the world and eating rice for the rest of your life. It can be if you want. That’s kinda the point here. You’re free to choose your path. There are many roads to happiness, but you can’t get there using someone else GPS unless you ride with them. I’m here to offer myself as your co-pilot.
MY PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY
In the eighties, I went to Paris to study make-up and French for a year. Instead of working as a makeup artist I started a graphic design company with a guy I found there. We started a family and company at the same time. This was a tiny company mainly designing schoolbooks, magazines, and fonts. Disney and McDonald's were among the companies using our products. My partner in crime and I divorced, but the company kept going for many years.
After 10 years working mostly with computers (Hello Macintosh II!), I wanted to work with real humans again. I've worked since I was 14, so that's why I'm saying again. I wasn't just leisurely chilling until I moved to Paris. So anyhow, this led me to become a Shiatsu Therapist. My teacher (Hi John!) got me hooked on Nine Star Ki.
I obtained my Shiatsu certification and enrolled in Cosmetology school back to back. After graduating from the Cosmetology School, I thought to myself, ok, I know make-up, shiatsu, beauty. I'm able to design my business cards and I know how to run a business. Not to mention, as a single mother I'm also pretty good at managing adorable people that make unreasonable demands. This was the start of my day spa business that gave me 16 years of eventful, interesting, fun, and, challenging times.
In 2013 I became a certified coach.
I started thinking of making this website in 2014. It’s been a lot of thinking and making since then. I allowed the process to lead me. All I knew was that I wanted to create something that combines the things I like, I’m good at, and might be useful for someone out there.
