Scott Silverstone

At the intersection of law, business, & technology

Business strategist, Entrepreneur, Investor, and Doting Husband.

Background: My career has spanned quite a few industries: law, high tech, software, real estate, and investment banking. I'm a natural problem solver, and have solved (and caused) a few issues over the years. I've been a business strategist for the past few years, and love connecting with other entrepreneurs.

How I can help you: I have a unique outlook on business, startup launch strategy, and accelerating growth. My skill is honing in on the one or two big changes that need to get done, and creating a plan to get those things done, done right, and done quickly. If your business needs help, I'll find a way fix it, or tell you if it can't be done.

The best ways I can help you are:

   1) Coaching, via my "Plan to Launch" program. This is great for anyone launching a new business, or someone taking their business in a new direction. From idea to action plan to launch via 4 weeks of coaching.
   2) Consulting. This is a good option for entrepreneurs and businesses looking to work on developing a strategy to take their business to a new level. This could involve creating a launch plan for a startup, helping a business expand into a new industry or market, or formulating an action plan for online advertising.
   3) Valuations. My law school career was focused on intellectual property and valuations. Extensive experience with mergers (at all sides of the table) give me insights into what an investor would actually spend buying a company. My valuations are honest, transparent, and backed by extensive market research.

I'm here to help. Message me below and we can discuss how I can best serve your needs.

Scott has the unique ability to help passionate entrepreneurs step back and see the big picture, and then design a game plan that is rock solid. This is essential to our success because we can be so focused on moving and outcomes that we miss the basics. I was confused about which strengths of mine I should be channeling, and in which direction I should go. Scott helped me personally and professionally get clarity and create a vision and strategy that has catapulted me forward. Scott is intuitive, strategic, resourceful and dedicated. I am privileged to know him professionally and personally.

Scott has advised me on everything from civil rights law to employee options in startups. Every single piece of advice that I've received from him over the years has only helped me - he has a very unique outlook that separates him from the pack. When you work with Scott you don’t just get top notch advice on the topic at hand, you also get access to his wealth of information on topics that may seem currently outside the scope of the project, but will be helpful down the line. Scott has been especially helpful to me with guiding me in professional growth as appropriate for where I was holding in other areas of my life (Student, Single, newlywed and father).

The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of Scott is a man that has been around the block and knew his stuff! Scott has coached me for years, and he's always been right on the money. The best way to describe Scott would be a man reaching for the stars but always having his feet planted firmly on the ground.

Working with Scott is a fantastic investment. His far-reaching experience adds so much wealth to the feedback and insights I received, which have reshaped how I think about, strategize, and execute on ideas for my ventures and long term objectives. I strongly recommend entrepreneurs in technology and financial services work with him.

Scott Silverstone what can I say? With a Name that sounds like a Hollywood legend, he lives up to the name. Scott is the most level headed and rational thinker I know. I work in Hollywood where level headedness is rare, and looked at as a disease by the millions of people who fail in this harsh business every day. Scott is the guy who can tell you what you need to hear.
For example on a current TV show I wrote and Amazon Prime finally released a comedy parody of Alex Jones from INFO Wars called "Media Wars." I wanted to give all my marketing budget to the MTA to put posters in every subway. This is a the typical thing to do for beginners, but a huge mistake! Scott explained to me how marketing online is way more effective. My ego was like "no.. No. I really want to see my self all over every subway." But rational advice from Scott saved me from my ignorance, and ego.
Not to sound too egotistical( now I definitely sound egotistical) but I always had a enduring work ethic. I won't take no for a answer, I will always find away. Before I met Scott I honestly could not recognize this as a strength, or any other strengths I had. I thought my enduring method was a rare practice only I did called "trying to hard and losing." It turned out many people are enduring in business, and things do not come out the way you want them too always, or even most of the time. But every attempt, every push puts you one step closer to your goal, and growth.
I'm no longer just dorky great writer, who people hang around to feed off of like Sharks. I'm a dorky writer, business man/ producer.
P.S. Yes that means Sharks find it more then difficult to try and feed off me, and are not feeding off me.

Expect a wild ride, assuming you are willing to do the work. The class meets once a week (via recorded webinar), but there is extensive homework given during the week. I'm going to push you to test your business concept, and figure out if it's viable. I'm also going to ask you to take a look at yourself and determine if this is the business for you. Each assignment is designed to help you figure out if your business will fly, and if you are the right one to be leading it. After four weeks, you should have a solid action plan for launching your business.
Yes - I'm 100% OK with this. If you have partners, you should all be on the same page in regards to your business.
Unlike my hourly consulting, I do offer a full money back guarantee for "Plan to Launch" participants. I know this program isn't for everyone, so I'm happy to refund people who realize this isn't for them. The guarantee is no questions asked, and lasts for two weeks after the start of the individual program.
Thanks so much. I'm flattered... but, no. At this time, I enjoy what I do and enjoy the time & travel flexibility my current business offers me. That said, I have an extensive network and may be able to find a suitable partner, associate, or employee.
One. Million. Dollars (said in my best "Dr Evil" voice)
I've been doing business and intellectual property valuations for the better part of the last decade. I have a strong background in both business and technology, which gives me a good perspective in figuring out what someone would pay to buy or invest in your company. I use a combination of different methodologies, including a close examination of the cost of building the company, and through determining the value of a given user base. If you are in the "idea" stage of your company, and haven't launched... don't worry about this (yet) - It's too early to figure out if you are the next Google or AliBaba.
