Patricia Dumond

WordPress Consultant

My name is Patricia Dumond. I am the founding member and "Chief Geek" at Site Geeks LLC, located in Hinesville, Georgia. I started Site Geeks with one goal in mind: to help small businesses and non-profits get their message out on the web.

I live in southeast Georgia. I retired in October 2013 after 34 years of service with the United States Army as both a soldier and a civilian. I've worked with computers since they were programmed via punched cards and took up entire rooms. I've programmed databases in COBOL. I've been developing and administering websites since 1999. I'm fluent in all the acronyms: HTML, CSS, PHP, etc...

No worries, that's where Site Geeks excels. We'll be there for as much (or as little) needed hand-holding throughout the development process.

How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? The cost of a website varies depending on many factors, just like the cost of a house or a car or a pair of shoes. Our website projects generally start in the $2,500-$3,000 range for basic business sites and range upward depending on your business requirements.

Again, this varies from project to project depending on the goals of the site owners. A basic business website will typically take 4-6 weeks from acceptance to launch.

Yes, it will work on mobile devices. All the websites we build work on all types of devices.
WordPress is the most popular Content Management System on the web. A Content Management System is a tool that allows you to maintain the content on your website yourself, without the need for extensive technical skills, such as knowing HTML and CSS.

WordPress powers from 25 - 30% of the websites on the web in 2017, depending on whose study you read. That's a lot of websites!

Yes. We provide all of our clients with the training and documentation needed to maintain their websites. We also offer ongoing Site Maintenance & Security Plans for every budget.
Site Geeks can help you after the site is built too. We offer a variety of Site Maintenance and Security Plans for any budget.
Yes. There were a couple of security vulnerabilities in older versions of WordPress that resulted in a lot of hacked sites recently. That said, if those sites had been properly maintained and upgraded to the current WordPress versions when released there would have been very few hacked sites. Security vulnerabilities happen and the only way to be sure they don't happen to you is to secure and maintain your WordPress site. That's why Site Geeks offer a variety of Maintenance and Security Plans to fit any budget.
A Discovery Session is an online meeting with me where we will help you get to the core of the goals you have for your website, your social networking, or your brand. Your goals determine the technical functions needed for your website, not the other way around.  A 30-minute Discovery Session will get you started in the right direction. A 1-hour Discovery Session should get you all the information you require to fill out our Website Project Application and during a 4-hour Discovery Session, we will guide you through the Website Project Application process resulting in a completed application and client brief.
