About Me

That restless fire in your soul—it’s not fading until you face it.

You’ve got a lot going right—parts of your life locked in, humming along. But at home, in your relationships, in your faith? It’s not where you want it. You’re hungry for connection that’s rock-solid and alive, a purpose that lights up your world, a fire that holds steady no matter what. You weren’t built to settle—you were built to blaze.

I’m Steve Pare. Five decades of life have forged me in fires I didn’t see coming:

  • Pastor and failed church planter—doors shut, but I kept moving.

  • Nurse in hospice, psych, and detox—raw moments that hit hard.

  • Healthcare leader and entrepreneur—shaped under pressure.

  • Decades of marriage and parenting—love carved out the hard way.

Those roles—especially the failures, the fights, and the moments staring down death—burned away the fluff. They taught me what it means to live with faith that’s real, purpose that’s steady, and relationships that don’t settle for surface-level fixes. I’ve felt that hunger, that restless pull, and I’ve walked the road toward something deeper.

You feel it too: the call to be more—a partner who loves with intention, a parent who leads with strength, a person whose faith isn’t just talk but a steady fire burning deep. It’s not a free ride—nothing good is—but you’re ready to step into it, whatever it takes.

Testimonials

The leadership and guidance of Mr. Pare was provided with genuine care and integrity. He initiated the sharing in a comfortable and empathetic manner.

With great skill and obvious care Mr. Pare posed challenging, probing and provocative lines of questioning with authenticity that was irresistible. He has a unique style of communicating that is internally fortifying and even stabilizing as well. He gently motivates looking through the lens of the spirit in examining where the Holy Spirit is leading experientially.

This was a most valuable experience for me in that I enjoyed the freedom of expressing my human and spiritual internal world. Especially, with a true experienced and insightful brother that engaged me with the sensitivity reflective of the Holy Spirit. In a number of ways I feel the most valuable part was the level of clarification in his communications.

Finally, throughout the experience Mr. Pare prayerfully set the stage for a genuine empathic encounter at the human and spiritual level. He is a true blessing indeed.

Respectfully,

Curtis

Spiritual Directee

I have met with Steve Pare for over a year for spiritual counseling and without reservation recommend him as a sensitive, insightful, and spiritually aware counselor for anyone trying to navigate the various hurts and struggles of living.

My experience with other therapists, most of whom have been secular, is that they miss what I have come to believe is the core of distress: a failure to bring God into the solution. Steve’s orientation is always toward Jesus and his technique is to bring His presence into the conversation from the very start of the session and then to nudge the client into a conscious re-orientation to Him as s/he becomes immersed in discussing his/her problem. Rather than proffering answers to the individual’s suffering, Steve redirects the client’s attention to the help that is nearby and guides him/her to invite Jesus in through stillness and listening. I personally have found that as I do so, my interpretation of and feelings about painful events invariably shift in the atmosphere of Jesus’ loving presence and Steve’s steadiness, acceptance, and spiritual strength.

The message Steve’s technique conveys is profound because it generously extends – but simultaneously sets limits to -- human support while gradually teaching the client the habit of turning again and again to the source of healing.
