About
The Garden Counselling Part of being fantastic is reaching out for help when you need it.
We recognise the unique challenges women face in life, especially around sexuality, life changes, and parenting. And we know that everyone needs a bit of support sometimes.
We also know that regardless of how many friends or family you have around you, finding a non-judgemental space to really address what's going on with you can be hard. That's where we come in.
We offer confidential counselling and coaching services, from the comfort of your own space, using Skype, FaceTime or Zoom.
Our online counselling can help with all manner of things you may be experiencing. Women in particular can feel torn apart by competing priorities, sexuality and body image issues, or feelings of loss or grief as children grow and leave, relationships falter, and parents need caring for. Change can create vulnerability, anxiety, and great reflection. Counselling can help you recognise the parts of yourself and the roles they play, helping you rediscover your true Self and move on with the life you wish for.
Our coaching services help you set goals and achieve them, providing specific support and education in certain areas with counselling along the way as needed. If there is healing to be done before we can begin coaching, we can identify that together in our first session. See our coaching packages below.
We help:
- women everywhere with sexuality and life change
- parents everywhere who need help with sexuality education for their kids (or themselves...)
- students everywhere with the loneliness and anxiety of moving away from home (packages only).
About MichaelaM.Couns., Grad.Dip.Sexol. BA. Comms, M.A.C.A
Hi. I founded The Garden Counselling to reach women wherever they are, knowing it's often difficult for some people to get into a practice for a face-to-face session. I specialise in sexuality, and life changes impacting women including ageing, chronic pain, empty nest and career issues.
I'm a registered counsellor (Australian Counselling Association) with experience working with individuals and couples, backed by a Masters in Counselling and a speciality in sexuality and sexuality education (with a Post.Grad.Dip in Sexology). I'm trained in a range of therapeutic techniques and essentially work with positivity and solutions in mind, recognising we are made of many, many parts and each plays a role.
