The Garden Counselling
Being fantastic is reaching out for help when you need it.
We recognise the unique challenges women face in life, especially around life changes, ageing, and sexuality. And we know that everyone needs a bit of support sometimes.
We also know that regardless of how many friends or family you have around you, finding a non-judgemental space to really address what's going on with you can be hard. That's where we come in.
We offer confidential counselling and coaching services, depending on what you need. We can support you wherever you are, all you need is Skype and a quiet place.
Our online counselling can help with all manner of things you may be experiencing. Women in particular can feel torn apart by competing priorities, sexuality and body image issues, or feelings of loss or grief as children grow and leave, relationships falter, and parents need caring for. Change can create vulnerability and great reflection. Counselling can help you recognise the parts of yourself and the roles they play, helping you rediscover your true Self and move on with the life you wish for.
Our coaching services use some counselling techniques, but are more action oriented to help you set goals and achieve them, and to provide specific support and education in certain areas. If there is healing to be done before we can begin coaching, we can identify that together in our first session. See our coaching packages below.
M.Couns., Grad.Dip.Sexol. BA. Comms, M.A.C.A
Hi. I founded The Garden Counselling to reach women wherever they are, knowing it's often difficult for some people to get into a practice for a face-to-face session.
As a registered counsellor (Australian Counselling Association), I'mpassionate about helping women navigate life, and find peace and meaning when it appears lost.
I have experience working with individuals and couples, backed by a Masters in Counselling and a speciality in sexuality and sexuality education (with a Post.Grad.Dip in Sexology). I'm trained in a range of therapeutic techniques that will help modify negative thoughts and inner conflict, find self-compassion and innate strengths, and shed new meaning on old stories. I work in alignment with Internal Family Systems which believes all parts of us are useful, and by understanding the role all our parts play we can rediscover our true Self and regain the harmony and productivity we seek.
Our goal is simply to support you through the tough times, to help you find strength, solutions and meaning, to be the best you can be. Hope to see you soon.
