Monica Douglas | Reflective Practice Supervisor, Companion, Coach & Transformational Mentor | Sacred Mirror
Deepen your practice. Strengthen your presence. Sustain yourself for the work you are called to do.
Hi, I’m Monica Douglas, founder of Sacred Mirror – Reflective Practice Companionship & Supervision and The Wild Wisdom Oracle.
I work with coaches, therapists, ministers, celebrants, yoga teachers, supervisors, leaders and other reflective practitioners whose work involves holding space for others.
I believe that the quality of our work is deeply connected to the quality of our presence – and that those who accompany, support and lead others also need places where they can be accompanied.
Through Sacred Mirror, I offer reflective practice supervision, companionship and mentoring: dedicated spaces to pause, reflect, listen deeply and discern what is right action for you in your work and life.
Our work together might explore your practice, your relationships with clients and colleagues, boundaries and ethical questions, transitions, confidence, capacity, vocation or the places where your professional and personal lives inevitably meet.
Rather than telling you what you should do, my role is to create the conditions in which you can hear yourself more clearly.
My approach brings together more than 25 years of professional and business development experience with my work as a relationship coach, transformational mentor, OneSpirit Interfaith Minister, tutor, supervisor, yoga teacher and facilitator.
I am trained and experienced across a range of approaches including Conscious Uncoupling®, Calling in “The One”, yoga, embodied movement, ceremony and spiritual accompaniment. My practice is also deeply informed by more than 25 years of personal development through The Reach Approach and by my own Wild Wisdom framework.
This creates an integrated approach to reflective practice that welcomes the body, heart, mind, spirit, relationships and environment into the conversation.
At the heart of Sacred Mirror is something I have come to understand as radical hospitality: creating enough space to welcome the whole of our experience, including the parts of ourselves we might otherwise judge, silence or leave outside the room.
I offer:
Reflective Practice Companionship – ongoing 1:1 supervision, mentoring and accompaniment.
Reflective Practice Supervision – individual and group spaces for practitioners to reflect on their work, relationships, responsibilities and growing edges.
Retreats and reflective spaces – opportunities to step away from everyday demands, deepen listening and allow something new to emerge.
Sacred Mirror is for people who understand that professional development is not simply about acquiring more tools.
It is also about continuing to become the person who uses them.
A place to pause. A place to be accompanied. A place to discern what is yours to do next.

Reflective Supervision Pilot
Participant Information
Thank you for your interest in taking part in this supervision pilot. I am looking forward to working together.
As part of a collaborative project with OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation, ongoing supervision training and professional development, I am offering a small pilot cycle of reflective supervision with ten participants. This pilot will allow me to deepen my supervision practice while also gathering feedback that will support OneSpirit's approach to supervision.
Each participant will receive three supervision sessions, and in return participants will be asked to provide reflective feedback throughout the process and a testimonial at the end of our time together.
What the Supervision Sessions Offer
Reflective supervision provides a supportive and confidential space to pause, reflect and deepen awareness of how we practise and serve in our professional or ministerial roles.
These conversations may support you to:
-
reflect on experiences arising in your work
-
explore relational dynamics with clients, colleagues or communities
-
deepen ethical awareness and reflective practice
-
strengthen clarity, confidence and resilience in your role.
Supervision is not therapy or performance review. It is a reflective partnership designed to support thoughtful and sustainable practice.
A Whole-Person Approach
Alongside established supervision frameworks taught by the Centre for Supervision and Team Development, sessions may integrate insights from The Reach Approach.
The Reach Approach is an international interdisciplinary framework integrating counselling, psychotherapy, personal development and supervision. Monica is an active practitioner and recommended therapist within the Reach Approach and receives supervision within this context.
Insights from this whole-person approach may offer a valuable perspective in exploring holistic reflective supervision within the pilot project. Where appropriate, supervision may explore practical ways to support personal resourcing alongside reflective practice.
What the Pilot Includes
Participants will receive:
-
Three supervision sessions (typically 60 minutes each)
-
a confidential reflective space to explore their practice
-
opportunities to deepen reflective awareness and personal resourcing.
Sessions will normally take place online and will be scheduled at mutually convenient times.
Participant Contribution
As this supervision cycle forms part of a pilot and my ongoing supervision training, participants are asked to contribute reflective feedback throughout the process.
This will include:
-
A short written reflection or feedback after each session
-
A more detailed reflective debrief at the end of the third session
-
A short written testimonial describing the value of the supervision process. Testimonials may be anonymised if preferred.
Your reflections will help support my development as a supervisor and contribute to learning about how reflective supervision may be further developed within the communities and professional contexts I serve.
Participation in the pilot is offered without fee. If you feel moved to support the continued development of this work, you are welcome to offer a conscious contribution at the end of our time together.
Next Step
We will schedule our first session together and map out the remaining sessions in a way that works well for both of us.
I look forward to sharing this reflective space with you.
With warmest wishes,
Monica Douglas
